CORE CAPABILITIES

Six Core Features

01

Tile Efficiency

Real-time shanten and acceptance counts — quantify the efficiency cost of every discard.

02

Push / Fold Judgment

Weigh hand value, turn count, and table state to attack, dodge, or fold at the right time.

03

Deal-in Risk Prediction

Infer opponents' waits from their discards and calls; every tile is flagged with its deal-in risk.

04

Call Decisions

When to chii, pon, or kan — balancing value, speed, and defensive flexibility.

05

Riichi Timing

Riichi or damaten: weigh value, wait quality, and the table state for the optimal call.

06

Placement Strategy

Optimize for final placement EV, adapting to score gaps and the hands remaining.

HOW IT WORKS

Three-Step Decisions

STEP 1

Read

Recognize your hand, discard rivers, calls, dora, and every player's score position.

STEP 2

Solve

Deep-learning model + real-time search solve the optimal strategy for the current turn.

STEP 3

Advise

Discard / call / riichi suggestions, annotated with win rate, deal-in risk, and EV.

BEGINNER GUIDE

Riichi Rules at a Glance

01

Tiles & Winning Hands

Standard 136 tiles: 36 each of man/pin/sou, 4 each of winds (E/S/W/N) and dragons (white/green/red), plus one red 5 of each suit (+1 han each).

  • Standard hand: 4 sets (runs / triplets) + 1 pair
  • Special hands: Seven Pairs (2 han), Thirteen Orphans (yakuman)
02

The Iron Rule: No Yaku, No Win

A complete hand still needs at least one yaku to win — the biggest difference from Chinese mahjong. Any 1-han yaku works:

  • Riichi: declare on a closed tenpai hand for 1,000 points; stacks with ippatsu & ura dora
  • Tanyao: hand of only 2–8 tiles; open calls allowed
  • Yakuhai: triplet of dragons, seat wind, or round wind
  • Menzen tsumo & pinfu: basic closed-hand yaku
03

Game Flow

East-round games (4 hands, beginner-friendly) or hanchan (8 hands). Turns go counter-clockwise: draw one, discard one, keep 13 tiles.

  • Chii from the left player only; pon / kan from anyone — calls break menzen and forbid riichi
  • Ron: the discarder pays alone; tsumo: all three pay, dealer earns 1.5×
  • Exhaustive draw: tenpai players collect from noten players
04

Dora System

Dora adds han but is never a yaku by itself: indicator dora (+1 from the indicator), red 5s, and ura dora (revealed after a riichi win).

05

Furiten (Common Trap)

While furiten, you can only win by self-draw — never by ron.

  • Any of your winning tiles is in your own discards → furiten
  • Passing a ron after riichi → furiten for the whole hand
  • All waits in your own river → permanent furiten
06

Scoring

Everyone starts at 25,000 points; final placement decides rank PT.

  • Dealer wins earn 1.5× a non-dealer's
  • Riichi deposits (1,000) carry over on draws and go to the next winner
